On Monday, September 27, 2021, Prospect Capital Restaurants (PCR) teamed up with Special Olympics New Jersey to donate food to more than 150 current and former police officers at The New Jersey Law Enforcement Golf Classic. The golf outing was dedicated to the memory of the 37 Port Authority Police Officers who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.
Proceeds from the incredible event go to support Special Olympics New Jersey whose mission is to “provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.”
Throughout the day, members of the PCR team gave out more than 200 subs that were generously donated by the company’s Jersey Mike’s Spotswood location to the law enforcement officers to enjoy as they played through the course. After finishing up the day’s 18 holes, golfers sat down to enjoy a fantastic dinner with an abundance of chicken wings donated by PCR’s Wingstop in Neptune, N.J.
PCR values giving back to its communities and is honored to have been a part of The New Jersey Law Enforcement Golf Classic.
