Jersey Mike’s Gives Back to Schools

While COVID-19 left many of us uncertain about the school year, Jersey Mike’s was confident in its mission to give back. Our teams hit the ground running to find ways to support our local schools.

To support the start of the school year, Jersey Mike’s secured sponsorships for athletic teams in Metuchen, Warren and Edison. These sponsorships provide merchandise that is sold to raise additional funds for teams. The sponsorships also provide shirts and jerseys for teams to wear.

In September and October, Jersey Mike’s donated a combined total of 140 subs to Henry E. Harris Community School in Bayonne and Lincoln Elementary School in Edison. These subs were offered to teachers as they navigate hybrid and remote learning models.

Throughout the months of September, October and November Jersey Mike’s hosted seven three-day fundraisers to support local schools. Each fundraiser offered a free sub in exchange for a minimum $2 donation. The fundraisers raised a combined total of $5,000 for PTAs, athletic programs and senior classes throughout the state.

Currently scheduled for November and December, Jersey Mike’s will be hosting various dine-to-donate events to benefit various local sports teams, schools and senior classes. Due to COVID-19, these events will feature an online component. By adding the ability to donate online, Jersey Mike’s can reduce traffic in store to keep their team and customers safe.

As we approach 2021, our Jersey Mike’s locations are still looking for ways to support our communities. To schedule a fundraising event, suggest a lunch donation, or work with any of PCR’s other brands, contact us.
